[dev65] T65 Java OTAP by SMS

I am doing T65 development under Linux and using OTAP to get the code onto the boxes OK, bu now I am starting to try to get the SMS triggering of OTAP working.
I am finding that the message sent:

OTAP_IMPNG
START:install

arrives in the T65 SMS buffer as:
OTAPIMPNG
           START:install

the underscore which is apparently important get stripped out? any clues?
I am presuming that this is all I need if the usual OTAP parameters are all set into the T65 already so that AT^SJOTAP runs
