Could you please distribute this message to your members? -- cut -- Calling all SAR volunteers, technical rescue teams, cavers, responding agencies and rescue support organizations... Exercise Dark Squeeze is an exciting multi-agency interprovincial rescue exercise in the beautiful Crowsnest Pass (SW Alberta/SE BC) being held September 16 to 18, 2011! This realistic scenario on the trails, flanks, heights and caves of Mount Ptolemy involves a broad range of rescue, back country, logistical and management skills. Work your specialized skills, such as caving, above or below ground rope rescue, patient management, quading, 4 wheel driving, helicopter operations, radio communications, large scale logistics operations, and incident management. If you're not a hardcore outdoor person/rescuer, there are rescue components suitable for most skill and fitness levels.
