The planning team has decided to open up Dark Squeeze to a late
registrations.  Can you please distribute this updated blurb to your
members?:


Registration extended! Exercise Dark Squeeze now is accepting late
registrations until September 9, while capacity remains available.

Participants from over 30 organizations already have signed up to take
part in this exciting interprovincial multi-agency Search and Rescue
exercise!

Alberta Cave Rescue Organisation is inviting all SAR volunteers,
responding agencies, cavers, local quad and 4x4 groups, technical
rescue teams, tasking agencies and rescue support organizations from
Alberta and BC to join us September 16 to 18, 2011 in the beautiful
Crowsnest Pass of SW Alberta and SE British Columbia.

This AEMA-sponsored event will test and illustrate the emergency
response community's ability to work together in a large multi-agency
incident in remote locations. The realistic scenario brings responders
along the trails, flanks, heights and caves of Mount Ptolemy. You will
exercise a broad range of rescue, back country, alpine, cave,
logistical and management skills.

If you're not a hardcore outdoor person/rescuer, there are rescue
components suitable for most skill and fitness levels. Many roles in
the overhead team, logistical and helicopter operations, both on and
off the mountain won't have you walking far.
