[SARA-Members] SAR 1St Response

As many of you already know, a new group has been formed in Spruce Grove,
under the name "SAR 1St Response".  

 

A number of you have sent your concerns regarding this group to the
Executive. The Executive asked former past presidents (Monica A and Paul O)
to follow up with the group and provide a report back to the Executive. The
Executive also met with RCMP K Division on this matter. 

 

SAR Alberta has been asked by this potential resource for an application to
join SAR Alberta. We have responded to that request. If their application is
received in time, it will be addressed at the 2006 Annual General Meeting,
where you the membership decide on new members. 

 

SAR Alberta currently does not recognize nor disavow this group as a valid
SAR resource in Alberta, and encourage you to continue to work closely with
your tasking agencies.
