A reminder that AEMA has sent out grant application documents to all
those teams who indicated an interest in having their municipality apply
for funding.
Anything that was previously submitted to SAR Alberta was not the
application process, but merely an expression of interest in training
priorities for 2008/2009.

They have a deadline of MARCH 20, 2008, that was set by AEMA. They must
have the documents to their Minister for approval by March 31.

All Alberta Municipalities have previously received information on
Municipal Emergency Management Training funds- do not confuse the
two. They are two distinct and separate grant applications.

Below are the teams who indicated a desire for funds, as well as the
Municipality that must apply on their behalf.

DO NOT CONDUCT ANY TRAINING THAT YOU ARE APPLYING FOR FUNDING UNTIL YOU
HAVE CONFIRMATION FROM YOUR HOST MUNICIPALITY THAT THEY HAVE SIGNED A
CONDITIONAL GRANT AGREEMENT. THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN UNTIL SOMETIME IN
APRIL AT THE EARLIEST. ANY TRAINING CONDUCTED BEFORE THAT WILL NOT BE
FUNDED.

That time line is absolutely short, however that is what AEMA have set,
not SAR Alberta.
